Dr. Kenneth Wu earned his medical degree at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Medical School in Lubbock. He completed his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a fellowship in interventional pain management at Rush University in Chicago.
Dr. Wu, who has been in practice since 2009, is board certified in two areas: interventional pain management and anesthesiology. His primary clinical interests are persistent post-surgical pain, nerve and spinal cord injury pain, geriatric or elderly pain, spinal pain, headaches, abdominal pain and pelvic pain.
His practice philosophy centers on helping patients break free from the constraints of persistent pain, helping them to lead vibrant, active lives. He works to decrease pain in a minimally invasive manner, focusing on interventional procedures and non-invasive therapies before pharmaceutical interventions. He utilizes a variety of pain management options: non-addictive alternatives, physical therapy, holistic and complementary medicine, (including acupuncture and massage therapy), oral pain relievers and cutting-edge interventional procedures. He also stresses educating patients and families about pain.
