Dr. William Douglas earned his medical degree at the University of California at Los Angeles. He completed residencies in general surgery at the University of Wisconsin and thoracic surgery at Case Western University, followed by a fellowship in pediatric cardiovascular surgery at the University of Michigan.
Board certified in surgery, thoracic and cardiac surgery, and congenital cardiac surgery, Dr. Douglas specializes in pediatric cardiac surgery, with clinical interest in congenital heart defects. His practice is solely dedicated to children and adults with congenital heart disease.
Dr. Douglas is active in the development of new medical devices for pediatric cardiac surgery and serves as professor and chief of the division of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.
A resident of Houston, Dr. Douglas is married and the father of seven children. His favorite activity outside the office is raising his family.
