Dr. Arnold Kagan, MD

Dr. Arnold Kagan received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand Faculty of Health Sciences in Johannesburg, South Africa. Following an internship in adult medicine and surgery and a year as a medical officer in the South African Army, Dr. Kagan relocated to Houston where he completed his pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM).

Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Kagan has practiced medicine in Houston since 1980. He provides general pediatric care from birth to 18, including well care check-ups, immunizations, preventive care, sick child care, sports physicals and guidance.

He has served as a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at BCM; chief of staff of the medical staff at Texas Children’s Hospital and currently serves on the bioethics committee at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.

Dr. Kagan and his wife have three adult children and three grandchildren. His son, Dr. Ryan Kagan, joined his medical practice in 2009. When not in the office, Dr. Kagan enjoys spending time with his family.
