Dr. Ayotunde Faweya, MD

Dr. Ayotunde Faweya earned his medical degree from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine in Nigeria and completed a pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, where he served as chief resident. He also holds an MBA from Henley Business School at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom.

Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Faweya has been in practice since 1981. His primary clinical interests are asthma, ADHD and other chronic health issues including pediatric diabetes. He also provides check-ups, immunizations and physicals. A strong believer in the patient-centered medical home concept, he is focused on caring for children in an accessible and healthy environment. He demonstrates great compassion and dedication to making children healthy.

Dr. Faweya is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the American Medical Association. He received the Driscoll Children’s Hospital Hero Award in 2007.

In his leisure time, Dr. Faweya supports and engages in overseas mission work and enjoys leisurely strolls along nature trails.
