Dr. Kenya Maria Parks earned her medical degree at Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her residency training at Rutgers New Jersey School of Medicine,formerly the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Parks has been in practice since 2001. She provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients from newborn to age 18. Among the many conditions she treats, her special interest is childhood obesity. Her practice philosophy is to provide family-centered medicine; stressing the importance of the family in the child’s well-being.
Dr. Parks is an assistant professor of Community and General Pediatric Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School. She is involved in a variety of clinical research projects including child abuse, child advocacy and immunizations.
Dr. Parks lives near the Texas Medical Center. Away from her practice, which is her passion, she enjoys the arts and music.
