Dr. Ankur Mehta, DO

Dr. Ankur Mehta earned his medical degree at Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed an internship at Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and a residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he was chief resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He also completed an acupuncture course at Harvard Medical School.

In practice since 2007, Dr. Mehta is board certified in physical medicine/rehabilitation and pain medicine. His clinical interests include cervical and lumbar disc herniation, sports injuries and recovery, nerve conduction testing and carpal tunnel, lumbar and cervical arthritis, longevity medicine, opiate-free pain management, and holistic and comprehensive care. Dr. Mehta, who speaks Spanish, Gujarati and Hindi, treats patients two years and older.

Dr. Mehta is an officer of Texas Pain Society Houston Chapter and a member of the Texas Medical Association. His focus on patient-centered, individualized care includes taking time to listen to patients to assist in pinpointing the core causes of their ailments. As a result, he is highly effective in making them feel comfortable.

A resident of the Heights, Dr. Mehta’s favorite leisure activities are swimming, skiing, hiking, biking, running, surfing, scuba, teaching, reading and meditation.
