Jonathan Chase Findley, MD, earned his medical degree from UT Health San Antonio, where he then completed his residency in psychiatry.

Board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), Dr. Findley specializes in adult general psychiatry, bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorders, schizophrenia and severe mental illnesses in an inpatient hospital setting.

Dr. Findley serves as an assistant professor in the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, where he is also the director of Medical Student Education. Dr. Findley recently participated in McGovern Medical School’s curriculum redesign, which now includes psychiatry in all four years of study. With a greater emphasis on integrating the neurosciences (psychiatry, neurology and neurobiology), the new Nervous System and Behavior Module will provide second-year medical students with a clinicallyfocused and interdisciplinary approach to the field of psychiatry. At the medical school, Dr. Findley also serves as the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty advisor for the Student Interest Group in Neurology and Psychiatry (SIGN/P), where he works to cultivate students’ interest in the neurosciences early in their careers and recruit future psychiatrists. 

Dr. Findley was honored with McGovern Medical School’s 2018 Herbert L. and Margaret W. DuPont Master Clinical Teaching Award.
