Dr. German Luy earned his medical degree at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, where he also completed his fellowship in pulmonary critical care. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care, Dr. Guy has been in practice since 2000. His clinical interests focus on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary embolism and critical care.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Luy treats patients who are 18 years and older. His practice philosophy is to use the best evidence-based medicine to provide individualized treatment plans for each patient.
Residents of the Museum District of Houston, Dr. Luy and his wife have a daughter. His hobby is playing the guitar.
