Dr. Majd Alnas received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in Damascus, Syria, where he graduated among the top of his class. He completed his internship and residency at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in Michigan, followed by his pulmonary disease fellowship at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, W. Va. Additionally, Dr. Alnas completed a dedicated critical care fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Board certified in critical care, internal medicine, pulmonary disease and sleep medicine, Dr. Alnas specializes in advanced and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Bronchial Thermoplasty (BT). He has advanced training in ultrasound use for bedside procedures.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. Alnas has received numerous recognitions. During his residency and fellowships, he was recognized as an outstanding physician and received several awards for academic excellence. In addition, he authored and co-authored several peer reviewed articles in highly respected journals and presented research findings at national meetings, including CHEST and American Thoracic Society.
Dr. Alnas served as the medical director for the school of respiratory therapy at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, Ill., where he practiced pulmonary and sleep medicine for two years. He is currently a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
In his free time, Dr. Alnas enjoys reading, swimming and biking. He loves spending time with his family.
