Nimi Tuamokumo, MD, MPH, graduated cum laude at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J. with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine (YSM) in New Haven, Conn., and her Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston. Dr. Tuamokumo went on to complete an internship at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Mass., followed by a radiation oncology residency with the Harvard Radiation Oncology Program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR), Dr. Tuamokumo specializes in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT). She is experienced in treating all types of malignancies.
She cares for patients living in Conroe, Houston, Huffman, Hufsmith, Humble, New Caney, Porter, Spring and Tomball.
Throughout her career, Dr. Tuamokumo has been recognized with numerous honors, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Careers in Medicine Fellowship, the American Cancer Society (ACS) Outstanding Thesis Award, the New England Cancer Society Daland Resident Award, the NIH Cancer Education Grant and the YSM Etta S. Chidsey Award in Cancer Research.
She has published articles and given presentations on a range of topics including breast cancer, prostate cancer, pediatric cancer and gastric cancer. In addition, Dr. Tuamokumo is a member of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO).
