Dr. Solafa Elshatanoufy earned her medical degree at the Ross University School of Medicine and did an internship in general surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in in female pelvic medicine, reconstructive surgery and urogynecology at Wayne State University’s Detroit Medical Center/Henry Ford Health System.
Dr. Elshatanoufy is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and board eligible in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. In practice since 2010, she treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Arabic. She is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Medical Association.
Because of the intimate nature of Dr. Elshatanoufy’s specialty, her practice is focused on making each patient as comfortable as possible. The most important part of her practice is investing time in listening to what bothers patients and defining their treatment goals. Her training allows her to identify treatment options that will most impact her patients' quality of life, often when they don't even know that help is available.
Dr. Elshatanoufy lives in Houston’s Energy Corridor. Her favorite pastimes are yoga, traveling and playing with her young daughter.
