Melvyn A. Anhalt, M.D., received his undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and Vanderbilt University. He completed his medical degree at The University of Alabama at Birmingham in Mobile, Alabama. He completed a year of surgery followed by two years in the Navy. He completed his residency at Baylor University College of Medicine. Dr. Anhalt remained associated with Baylor and involved in teaching until he moved to Memorial City thirty-three years ago.
Dr. Anhalt is certified by the American Board of Urology and is the previous Chief of staff and Chief of Urology at the Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. He is currently the Chief and Director of the Urodynamic department at Memorial Hermann Memorial City.
Dr. Anhalt is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered urological care for patients starting at 18 years old. He has an interest in all aspects of urology, including incontinence, infertility and reproductive medicine, kidney stones, prostate cancer, urological oncology, and vasectomy reversals.
A compassionate teacher, Dr. Anhalt wants his patients to understand why a certain treatment plan is given to them, and to make sure they receive the attention they deserve. Dr. Anhalt spends as much time with his patients as needed so they leave his office with all of their questions answered and more confident about their situation than when they walked in the door.
In his spare time, Dr. Anhalt enjoys spending time with his grandkids and playing golf.
