Computed Tomography Program
Program Overview
Class starts July 10, 2007, and continues for six months with both clinical experience and classroom instruction.
Clinical experience – consists of eight hour days, three days a week for 21 weeks of active participation in the clinic, screening patients, injecting contrast media, and performing scans (508 hrs in the clinic). A total of 125 documented repetitions must be performed to become registry eligible.
Classroom instruction - The course will last a total of 22 weeks. Class will meet once a week for three-four hours on Tuesday evenings, from 5 to 8 pm. Subjects include:
- Patient Care
- Imaging Procedures and Protocols
- Physics and Instrumentation
- Radiation Protection
- Sectional Anatomy
