Advanced Mammography Program

Education and Employment

Classes

Students complete all required competencies for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam under the supervision of instructors and professionals with extensive backgrounds and credentials in mammography, education, imaging positioning, biopsy procedures, pathology and implants.

The content of classroom and lab presentations exceeds the content specifications of the ARRT exam. All clinical competencies are documented while in training. Specialized areas such as ultrasound, MRI and biopsy procedures are observed by students in an educational environment.

Students will be given a notebook with course syllabus, objectives and reading assignments two weeks before the session starts. Students are expected to prepare for classroom instruction before classes start because a large volume of material will be covered in a short time.
