Admission

1) All required materials must be submitted. (See #4 below for details.)

2) Students must achieve acceptable scores on basic skills entrance examinations given at the school.

3) Interviews and observation time is scheduled if the applicant’s test scores are acceptable. During the interview the applicant can review the policies and procedures as documented in the Student Handbook and Clinical Education Handbook. If you have not submitted any letters of recommendation, form letters will be supplied during your interview. Applicants are required to spend three to four hours touring a facility and observing radiographic procedures at one of our affiliate hospitals.

4) Completed applications with transcripts, letters of recommendation, test scores, interview forms, and other pertinent information are submitted to the Student Selection Committee. If you have letters of recommendation, submit these with your application. If you don’t, form letters will be supplied during your interview.

5) A limited number of positions are available in each class and many more applicants apply than are admitted. Student selection is based on a combination of academic preparedness, entrance examination scores, personal interviews, career and life experiences.

Applicants must pass a background check and a physical examination. The physical exam includes drug screening and is administered at the hospital before being accepted. All applicants are notified of their status on or before May 15, in advance of a July start.
