Blackwell received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and completed her Master of Science in Dietetics at Sam Houston State University.
With aspirations to become a chef, Blackwell studied nutrition and realized that her true passion was for the clinical and wellness side of dietetics.
Blackwell provides her patients with nutrition and wellness information that can be practically implemented into their lifestyle. For each patient, she creates a customized strategy that keeps them on track with their nutrition and health goals. This plan includes how to cope with the initial adjustment period once the diet has changed. She feels the most important part of any diet is having the correct mindset and positive attitude to persevere and maintain it long-term in order to achieve success.
