Meet Our Team
As Director of Employer Solutions for Memorial Hermann, John oversees the Industrial Rehabilitation, Multidisciplinary Pain Management, Occupational Medicine, Corporate Wellness and WorkLink programs. He has a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Brigham Young University and has over twenty years of experience working with individuals recovering from on-the-job injuries.
John is a surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and is a frequent lecturer on subjects covering a wide range of wellness issues in the workplace.
Ahmed Khalifa, M.D.
Dr. Khalifa is the Medical Director for Successful Returns ©. He brings his expertise to enhance the quality of patient care, working to find effective solutions for treating injured workers.
Dr. Khalifa’s specialty is in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Pain Management and General Rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from Tanta University in Eqypt, completed his internship in Egypt, and his residency at Giza Ophthalmic Hospital and occupational medicine at UTHSC-Houston. Dr. Khalifa completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Medicine and General Rehabilitation at UTHSC-Houston. Dr. Khalifa is board certified by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and the American Board of Pain Management.
Dana Powell Fulcher, Ph.D.
Dr. Fulcher is a licensed psychologist in the State of Texas with substantial experience in treating depression and anxiety disorders. She joined Memorial Hermann Employer Solutions as the Rehabilitation Manager and Clinical Psychologist for the Successful Returns © program in 2012.
Prior to Successful Returns ©, she worked for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston and the Menninger Clinic while maintaining a faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Baylor College of Medicine. She currently holds volunteer faculty status.
Dr. Fulcher received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from the University of Tennessee-Memphis and worked for five years as an occupational therapist. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship through Baylor College of Medicine.
Irene Riitho, DPT
Irene received her B.S. from Texas Southern University in Houston and her master’s and doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Irene’s primary role consists of performing Physical Therapy evaluations, Functional Capacity Evaluations as well as pre-employment and return-to-work evaluations.
Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Irene moved to the United States to pursue higher education and a career in Physical Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys road cycling.
Lucille Crago, PT
Lucille has over thirty years of experience as a Physical Therapist, including outpatient, inpatient, burn care, home health and pediatrics. She received her Physical Therapy degree from UTMB in Galveston, after attending Rice University in Houston. In addition, she has lived and worked all over the country and world, from California to Chicago to Germany, as an Army wife. While living in Germany, she was very active in numerous volunteer activities with the Heidelberg Military Community, families, schools and sports.
Kim Overgaard, PT
Kim received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern School of Allied Health Sciences. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kim has been in practice for over twenty years. Her passion and specialty is outpatient orthopedics. She is currently working at Memorial Hermann Employer Solutions-Successful Returns with individuals who have been injured at work.
Kim has been married for over twenty years to her husband, Rick. They have a daughter at Oklahoma State University.
In her spare time Kim volunteers with Hope For Three as the Adult Volunteer for the Teen Huddle. She also serves as a Board Member for Hope For Three. Hope for Three is a non-profit that mentors and advocates for people with autism and autism spectrum disorders. In her spare time she participates in Bible Study Fellowship, loves to volunteer and serve people, and loves to spend time outdoors.
Jose L. Lara
Jose has over twenty years of experience in physical therapy and industrial medicine. As a fitness professional, he is enthusiastic about helping change the lives of others. Jose holds a wide range of certifications in sports medicine.
Jose is an Exercise Coordinator with Successful Returns © and has worked with a variety of patients and clients. He has an uncanny ability to keep his patients motivated. Jose focuses on helping his clients meet and exceed their personal goals, while teaching proper body mechanics, lifting techniques and safe ways to improve endurance and fitness level to reduce pain. His goal is to partner with clients to help them meet their potential and return to work.
Micki Brown, LAT
Micki has been part of the Successful Returns © team since 2004. She has over twenty years of experience in Industrial Medicine and Pain Management. She motivates and encourages clients to reach their fullest potential. She is a native Houstonian and a graduate of Rice University. As a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Micki provides Sports Medicine coverage for athletic events in the local community. Micki volunteers her time with organizations such as Special Olympics and the Chevron Houston Marathon.
