EMS Cadaver Lab
Life Flight’s Cadaver Lab creates an experience that would reflect what the EMS service would potentially encounter in real life, and it allows attendees to practice high risk/ low frequency procedures. The lab was set up to follow the particular EMS service’s protocols.
The lab is conducted in small groups of 10, enabling Life Flight to offer one-on-one instruction, and allowing the individual time to perform skills multiple times. While utilizing the EMS service’s equipment to ensure proficiency, the EMS Providers perform skills including video laryngoscopy for intubation, IO insertion in multiple sites, and crichothyrotomy. Advanced skills such as chest tube insertion, central line placement, needle chest decompression, and pericardiocentesis are also taught and practiced. The entire lab is performed utilizing equipment only found in an ambulance. New equipment and other products are also available for trial to the EMS service.
Life Flight is now offering the labs to EMS services at a moderate cost. For more information on the Life Flight EMS Cadaver Lab, contact us at email@example.com.
