Pediatric Genetics
Our pediatric genetics team functions primarily as a consulting group for other physicians. Renowned as specialists in tuberous sclerosis, skeletal dysplasias and the enzyme deficiency PKU, we receive referrals from all over the world. Each summer we sponsor Camp Phever for children with PKU, located at Camp For All.
About 80 percent of our consultations are for infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. In the NICU we answer questions for families and help parents determine what an infant’s genetic disorder means for their baby’s future. We also see outpatients at The Kid’s Place in Hermann Professional Building, located across the street from Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital.
