Social Services
Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital social workers are a vital part of the healthcare team available to you and your child. Social workers can assist you in dealing with the emotional and social needs of your family during your child's stay in the hospital. Our social workers serve as patient and family advocates by fostering communication between families and hospital staff, as well as with community agencies.
They also work with parents and families to enhance coping skills during a child's hospitalization and address feelings associated with possible changes in lifestyle and responsibilities when your child is ready to be discharged. If you would like to talk with a social worker, please call the Clinical Social Work office at 713-704-4190.
