Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital

In partnership with The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, Children’s Memorial Hermann logged more than 120,000 patient visits in 2006. Our caring staff treats everything from life-threatening injuries to routine medical procedures in children ranging from premature infants to 16-year-olds.

Location within the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center complex provides access to this primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, as well as a Level 1 Trauma Center.

The 240-bed facility offers colorful decor, special play areas and a reassuring staff, trained to help take the focus off of pain and illness. Education and support services for families are also available, as are services for international patients.

Specialty services include:

• Children's Heart Institute
• Children's Neuroscience Center
• Pediatric Intensive Care for the treatment of children with life-threatening injuries, pediatric oncology patients and other critically ill patients.
• Children's Special Care Unit  for those in need of extra attention such as post-transplant patients or those with seizures and gastrointestinal problems.
• Kidney disease and transplantation services for children with all forms of kidney disease.
• Specialty clinics developed to treat specific illnesses and conditions.
