Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center
About Our Hospital
Serving the community since 1971, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center includes a team of dedicated physicians, nurses, chaplains and support staff focused on providing outstanding medical care to patients in West Houston.
Specialty services include the Heart & Vascular Institute, where approximately 95 percent of the open-heart surgeries are performed “off pump,” resulting in more favorable outcomes and faster recovery times for the patient.
Since our founding more than 35 years ago, Memorial Hermann Memorial City has been an orthopedic leader in West Houston. Over time, our hospital and our surgeons have collaborated to create an innovative orthopedic program that is focused on superior clinical outcomes and driven to provide patients with the best care available.
Plans to expand the Heart & Vascular Institute include the addition of interventional cardiology and cardiovascular surgery services, digital catheterization labs and digital imaging.
The Neurosciences Department includes a Neurological ICU – the only one in Houston outside the Texas Medical Center. Additional specialty services include urology, women's health, diabetes treatment, robotic assisted surgery, bariatrics and diagnostic imaging.
Memorial Hermann Memorial City also offers wireless Internet access in parts of the hospital. Plans are to add access to the main hospital in early 2008.
