Hospital offers
assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children, adolescents and adults in the
following speech-language pathology areas:
- Speech disorders,
including phonological processes, articulation, fluency, dysarthria, verbal
apraxia and voice disorders
- Language delay and disorders,
including expressive aphasia, receptive aphasia, developmental delay, learning
disabilities and early intervention for ages 1-3
- Cognitive linguistic deficits for
attention, short-term memory, long-term memory, problem-solving, sequencing,
organization mathematical language
- Swallowing disorders (dysphagia) for
diet modifications; swallow precautions; improving salivation, range of motion
and strength of the face; and treatment for issues with the lingua, larynx and
pharynx
We
offer specific assessments in English and Spanish, including:

Standardized pediatric assessments for language and
articulation

Visi-Pitch IV analysis and case history voice
assessment

Informal comprehensive assessment for adult
speech-language and cognitive skills

Comprehensive modified barium swallow study for
oral and pharyngeal assessment with an esophageal screen as needed

A clinical bedside swallow evaluation

Screenings for children to determine the necessity
for an evaluation and/or treatment
Our
certified therapy services include:

FDA approved VitalStim Therapy or neuromuscular
electrical stimulation

Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Electrical
Stimulation

Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Treatment

Electrical stimulation as a direct current to the
external oral muscles
