Registering for Your Delivery at Southeast
For your convenience, we offer two ways to register.
In Person:
You may register in person at the Admitting Department located in the main lobby of the hospital. You should register by the seventh month of pregnancy. However, you may register as early in your pregnancy as you wish.
On the Memorial Hermann Web site:
You may pre-register for childbirth online by following these steps:
- Under Childbirth, select Memorial Hermann Southeast.
- Click on the Pre-Register button on the right.
- Complete the online form and click the Submit button (please print a copy for your records).
- A hospital representative will call before the scheduled procedure to review the information submitted. If a hospital representative has not contacted you two weeks prior to your delivery date, please call admitting at 281-929-4198 to ensure all necessary items have been submitted.
Please discuss with your physician any pre-certification required by your insurance carrier. Hospital insurance coverage is separate from physician coverage. The staff will request payment for any co-payment or deductibles as identified by your insurance carrier. If you have any questions regarding your financial arrangement or insurance coverage, contact the Admitting Department at 281-929-4198.
Classes and Other Services
Our childbirth and breastfeeding classes as well as tours of our maternity unit can be scheduled by calling 713-222-CARE (2273). These classes keep women in touch with others who share their concerns and with the healthcare providers they need. We can help provide important links to other hospital services, such as fitness, nutrition and stress management programs, physician information and mammography.
General Visiting Guidelines/Hours
We allow up to three adults at the patient’s bedside at any given time, including delivery. One adult may accompany the patient to the operating room for a cesarean section unless general anesthesia is used. Sibling visitation, of any age, is allowed unless the patient is in active labor.
