Pediatric Unit
A dedicated Pediatric Care Unit, located on the second floor, has been created to care for our youngest patients. Staffed with pediatric nurse specialists and directed by board-certified pediatricians, the unit was carefully designed with the needs of children in mind. Equipment is appropriately sized, and each private room comes with a sleeper sofa for Mom or Dad.
Nearby is the Puffy Pine Cone Pediatric Playroom for recuperating children and their visitors. Families can also congregate in light-filled lounges at the ends of the halls.
If more specialized care is ever needed, your child will be transferred via Memorial Hermann Life Flight® or the Pedi Transport Unit ambulance, with a dedicated team readily available. Our affiliation with Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital provides for seamless access to the higher level specialty services offered at the university-affiliated hospital.
