What is the Health Resource Center?
Obtaining information about your health, illness and treatment options can increase your ability to make informed decisions and ease the fear of the unknown. Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital is dedicated to helping our patients, families and friends meet their health information and education needs. The Health Resource Center provides a comfortable, easy to access, caring environment, where our resource experts will help you find the information you need to keep yourself healthy and strong, in mind, body and spirit. This free consumer health library is open to our patients and the public.

Health Resource Center staff and volunteers are available to help guide you through information searches and assist you in locating the information you need.

  • Health Navigator education specialist
  • Internet access to approved health resource sites
  • Patient education videos and DVDs
  • Interactive web videos
  • Downloadable handouts on more than 1,000 diagnosis-specific topics
  • Models for use in patient/community education

How to Access Our Services
Visit our Center and browse through the resources. Our knowledgeable and caring staff and volunteers can help you with your search for information. Our Center is open Monday through Friday and no appointment or referral is necessary. All inquiries are handled confidentially.

Health Navigator
To help the community meet its health information and education needs, we offer the Health Navigator, a clinical nurse specialist available in the Health Resource Center on a walk-in basis the 2nd Wednesday and 4th Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or by scheduled appointment.

The Health Navigator assists in researching and locating information through the Center’s various media resources to answer questions you may have to specific medical and psychosocial issues.
