What can I do to have the healthiest pregnancy possible? Which exercises are safe to do while I am pregnant? Which relaxation and breathing techniques will help me during labor? How can my partner help me and really become a part of this experience? What are my options in the hospital - before, during and after my baby is born? How can I determine why my baby is crying? So many questions…. so much to learn! Now that you're expecting, we want you to have the opportunity to learn the answers to these questions and important information. Here’s what you can expect from our family centered education department!

  • Healthy Pregnancy
This class provides important information about the development of babies and how to make your pregnancy healthier, easier and more enjoyable. Topics include: your baby's development before birth; normal physical and emotional changes during pregnancy; your partner's adjustment; changes in lifestyle; nutrition and exercise recommendations and warning signs of pregnancy complications. Best if taken as early as possible in your pregnancy.

  • Lamaze Prepared Childbirth
This class series will help expectant parents prepare for the labor, delivery and recovery experience. Our Internationally Certified Lamaze instructors utilize a variety of teaching methods that focus on relaxation, breathing techniques, positioning and coping skills as well as the importance of your support person. Our program enables you to make informed choices about your birth experience, whether you have a natural vaginal birth, epidural anesthesia or a cesarean section. A tour of The Family Birth Center will also help you feel better for the birth of your baby. We recommend that you begin this series at least 10 weeks prior to your due date.
