Mind and Spirit Classes
Taking a personal look inside is a great way to develop inner peace
and happiness. Our wellness classes encourage creativity, personal
growth and development, along with an understanding of what motivates
us. All are offered in a fun, non-threatening environment. Class dates

Personality
Traits Testing & Analysis
Do you understand the role personality plays in decision-making? Memorial Hermann offers testing services that analyze how you make
decisions and how your judgments and perceptions affect those around
you. Seminars and testing options include:
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator – Personality-type
inventory test that identifies traits such as extrovert/introvert,
sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling and judging/perceiving. While
it's not a psychiatric instrument, this test can provide insight
into how you view the world and make decisions.
- Spiritual Tendencies Indicator – A
non-judgmental, non-denominational approach to how you think about
spirituality. This tool analyzes thought processes regarding spiritual
decisions and provides information for examination and reflection,
including a framework for discussing elements of spirituality that
may be common across different denominations.
- Hartman Value Profile – Examines
personal values from a spiritual standpoint. Provides better insights
into how value judgments influence workplace behavior. Values are
a component of spirituality and can predict behavior because you
tend to act more consistently within the framework of your values
than with any other factor.
- Customized
personality workshops, seminars, conferences – We'll
work with you to design a personality program tailored to specific
individual needs and goals.
Being Still (Meditation)
This class in
centering or meditative prayer helps individuals gain practical knowledge
and experience in the art of finding a quiet place to experience
the presence of God, to grow in faith and find peace in the midst
of stressful living. The approach includes both ancient forms of
this prayer type and contemporary insights into the ways and advantages
of meditation. Guests are welcome (no fee).

Take a moment

and where you hope to be. Create personal goals, complete with an
accountability partner and learn what it takes to make your life
changes happen.
Spiritual and
Life Enhancement Consultations
Consultations
are tailored to individual’s needs, whether for spiritual direction,
stress, grief or dealing with life transitions.
Mindful Living
This
four-week course in meditation techniques and relaxation helps people
handle stress effectively, access vast internal stores of compassion
and deepen one’s understanding and appreciation of life.
Grieving Well
Grief is perhaps
the most common of human experiences, and yet when we are in the
midst of it, we often want and need help in finding our way. This
course has been designed to provide direction and support for grieving
people. If you want a time and place to gain understanding, share
experiences, seek hope or just better know the process of grief, Grieving
Well is your time and place.
Courtship and
Marriage: The Unfolding Journey
Intimacy is more
than falling in love; it is also the delightful hard work of standing
in love together over a lifetime. This seminar will focus on the
unfolding phases of love and attachment from early courtship through
long-term marriage.
Looking at Different
World Religions
Join this series
as it looks at the practices of faiths and their impact and importance
on the world.
