Volunteer

Founded in 1971, the Volunteer Service of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center focuses on exceptional patient and guest experiences. More than 250 community members devote 50,000 hours volunteering at Memorial City. The majority of our volunteers work directly with patients and their families, providing that extra level of care while a person is hospitalized.

Volunteers are an integral part of our health care team. Being a volunteer:

  • Adds meaning to your life
  • Allows you to support patients and families during their medical services
  • Gives you the opportunity to develop new, lasting friendships
  • Provides you a firsthand look at the health care profession
  • Helps you accumulate community service hours for school-related projects and scholarships
