The Memorial Hermann Neuroscience Center at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital approaches neuroscience care from the patient’s perspective. Our 19-bed unit offers comprehensive neurological services and provides convenient and exceptional care, valued by patients and family members alike.

Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center is currently seeking certification from The Joint Commission (TJC) as a Primary Stroke Center. Our stroke center reflects Memorial Hermann’s commitment in providing leading-edge treatments to acute stroke patients. The stroke team consists of skilled neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, emergency room physicians, Hospitalists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, dietitians and speech therapists.

The Neuroscience unit provides excellent care for a variety of neurological disorders, including cerebrovascular disease, carotid artery disease, stroke, benign and malignant tumors, peripheral nerve problems, neurodegenerative disorders, infections of the nervous system and movement disorders.

For critically ill adult and geriatric patients, intensive and specialized multi-organ support is available around the clock through state-of-the-art biomedical monitoring and advanced nursing care. This is all delivered in a supportive, caring and comfortable environment.

At Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, we offer educational and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to treat diseases of the brain and spinal cord. Our scope of services includes the diagnosis and/or treatment of:
