Atascocita Students Receive Physicals from Memorial Hermann Health Professionals

These physicians, advanced practice nurse practitioners and physical therapists affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital screened more than 700 student athletes and raised more than $14,000, which was donated back to Atascocita High School.

More than 700 student athletes from Atascocita High School, Atascocita Middle School and Timberwood Middle School received on-site sports physicals from volunteer physicians, advanced practice nurse practitioners and physical therapists affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital on April 20 at Atascocita High School.  The students were charged $20 each for the physicals and all proceeds, more than $14,000, were donated back to the high school.

The physicals, conducted in accordance with UIL requirements, were performed at Atascocita by volunteer health professionals affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast including Theodore Shybut, M.D. of Memorial Hermann Northeast Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery; Doan Do, M.D., of Summer Creek Physicians; Anna Lee, M.D., of Mehta Medical Group; Brian Castillo, M.D., of Summerwood Family Clinic; Greg Castillo, M.D., of Fall Creek Family Clinic, and Mark Hormann, M.D., of the University of Texas Pediatrics.

One additional event is planned for Humble High School student athletes on Wednesday, May 11.
