The Neuroscience Program at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital
offers residents of northeast Harris County and eastern Montgomery County
access to the highest quality treatment for neurological disorders that can be
achieved in a community setting. Our neurosurgical clinic, Mischer Neuroscience Associates, is affiliated with the leading-edge Mischer Neuroscience Institute in the Texas Medical Center, bringing world-class,
fellowship-trained neurosurgeons to the community.
Using state-of-the-art technology, our team of
experts can diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders and
conditions, including stroke, sleep disorders, and complex spine surgery. Our
experienced, highly trained neurologists apply advanced techniques and
technologies in the diagnosis, evaluation, management, and treatment of
patients with neurological disorders.
In addition to stroke and complex spine
surgery, we provide general care and treatment for a broad range of
neurological conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy and seizures,
multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.
Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital is part of the region’s first and largest stroke care network, encompassing all nine of
Memorial Hermann’s acute-care hospitals. Establishing the region’s largest
stroke network was a voluntary process that provides one more example of how
Memorial Hermann goes beyond to provide the highest level of care.
Memorial Hermann Northeast has acquired
certification from The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center. In
addition, Memorial Hermann Northeast has been recognized by SETRAC - the
Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council - as a Level II Stroke Center. Our
Neuroscience program reflects Memorial Hermann's commitment to providing
leading-edge treatments to acute stroke patients. The stroke team consists of
affiliated, skilled neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, Emergency
Center physicians, hospitalists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists,
dietitians and speech therapists.
