High-Risk Pregnancy Clinic
The internationally recognized maternal-fetal medicine specialists affiliated with Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital and on the faculty of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth are available to provide expert care in our community.
Maternal fetal medicine services available to obstetrical patients include prenatal testing, genetic consultation, pre-pregnancy counseling and specialized fetal care. Diagnostic testing includes comprehensive and targeted fetal ultrasound using 2-D, 3-D and 4-D imaging, amniocentesis, fetal biophysical profile, non-stress tests, umbilical artery Doppler studies, genetic testing and specialized laboratory diagnostics.
Birthing Center for Labor and Delivery
Our Birthing Center is designed to provide a comforting environment for the entire family. The “couplet care” model allows mothers and babies to stay together following birth in our spacious labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms. Each of the luxuriously decorated private suites has a comfortable guest bed, large walk-in shower, flat-screen television and additional premium amenities.
The center offers state-of-the-art equipment and a cesarean section suite to handle emergency situations.
Our skilled nursing professionals care for all but the most critically ill newborns. The specialized neonatal transport service at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital is readily available should the need arise.

Registering for Your Delivery at Pearland
You may register in person at the Admitting Department located in the main lobby of the hospital. You should register by the seventh month of pregnancy. However, you may register as early in your pregnancy as you wish.
Please discuss with your physician any pre-certification required by your insurance carrier. Hospital insurance coverage is separate from physician coverage. The staff will request payment for any co-payment or deductibles as identified by your insurance carrier. If you have any questions regarding your financial arrangement or insurance coverage, contact the Admitting Department at (713) 413-5015.
