Heartburn is a painful burning sensation in the esophagus, just below or behind the breastbone. The pain often rises in your chest and may radiate to your neck or throat. Acid Reflux is closely related to GERD, but the terms aren't necessarily interchangeable. Acid reflux is the backward flow of stomach acid into the esophagus — the tube that connects the throat and stomach. Acid reflux is more specifically known as gastroesophageal reflux. If you have frequent, ongoing heartburn, you may have a more serious condition, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
GERD, or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, is a condition in which contents of the stomach or small intestine repeatedly move back up into the esophagus (the tube connecting the throat to the stomach).

A questionnaire will be utilized by our operators to determine the severity of your acid reflux or heartburn.
