Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital offers a wide range of neurological care, including:

Diagnostic Services

We treat patients experiencing an array of neurological disorders in all stages, from the earliest symptoms through established disease. With PET/CT scan and MRI we are capable of advanced spectroscopic and diffusion tensor imaging with tractotomy, and can perform other useful diagnostic tests.

We take advantage of the expertise found at other Memorial Hermann hospitals, including the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Mischer Neurosciences Institute and the neuroscience services at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. Telemedicine technology enables neurologists across the Memorial Hermann network to observe patients and assist with treatment from any location.

Stroke Center

Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital is a community stroke support facility that offers the expertise needed to quickly identify and treat stroke victims.

The primary reason stroke victims become incapacitated is because they don’t receive proper care within the critical three hours following the onset of symptoms. To accelerate treatment, Memorial Hermann Sugar Land uses advanced imaging technologies to quickly diagnose and thoroughly assess the condition of all neurology patients.

Patients who don’t respond to initial treatment, require invasive procedures or need treatment outside of the critical three-hour treatment window may be transported via Life Flight® air ambulance to Level 1 or Level 2 stroke centers. Options include Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and Memorial Hermann Southwest Neuroscience Center.

Our capabilities include the use of telemedicine technology to enable neurologists across the Memorial Hermann network to observe patients and assist with treatment from any location. By connecting to network-wide expertise through the use of real-time imaging technology, physicians and staff at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Stroke Center are better able to:

  • Distinguish acute stroke and stroke-related events from symptomatically similar conditions
  • Collaborate and fully evaluate patients within the critical three-hour treatment window
  • Interact and communicate in a virtual clinic environment
