Meet our Sports Medicine Medical Director |
Dr. Bhojani received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from The University of Texas at Dallas. He earned his Doctor of Medicine with Distinction in Research from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He then went on to complete his internship and residency training at the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program in Houston, Texas where he also served as Chief Resident. He underwent his fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital System in Detroit, Michigan.
Board certified in both family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Bhojani provides highly personalized care to his patients, age 6 years and older for family medicine and sports medicine patients. His special interests include concussion management, exercise prescription, chronic medical illnesses, preventive medicine, and improving medicine through technology. Dr. Bhojani’s philosophy is to treat the patient as a whole, combining his skill sets from both family medicine and sports medicine to give patients a unique experience. Dr. Bhojani is fluent in Urdu.
During his residency, he received the highest patient satisfaction scores, and he believes in good two-way communication with his patients as well as individualized patient care plans. He was also the recipient of the John S. Dunn Teaching Award as well as the 2010 Family Medicine Resident Award for Scholarship in Research.
In addition to memberships in national, state and county medical associations, Dr. Bhojani serves as Medical Director for the Sports Medicine Outreach Program at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, team physician for the Fort Bend Christian Academy and Logos Preparatory Academy, and the head team physician for the Sugar Land Skeeters minor league baseball team.
He is married, is an admitted computer techie and enjoys watching and playing sports.
