In 2013, we celebrate our 28th year of providing proven, trusted healthcare to the community. Our campus, located at 9250 Pinecroft Drive, consists of the 258-bed main hospital and three professional office buildings, a team of more than 780 medical staff physicians, 1,300 employees and 250 volunteers.
Specialty services include Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center recognized heart and vascular services, outpatient imaging, an American College of Surgeons accredited cancer program, pediatric medicine with Child Life and women's care. Facility features include both a medical and surgical ICU to treat patients who have undergone procedures such as neurological, cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries and diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization labs. In addition, the hospital includes an intermediate medical unit, palliative care services, updated chapel, expanded gift shop.
The hospital features a diabetes self-management program recognized by the American Diabetes Association, a certified primary stroke center, sports medicine, rehabilitation and physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, registered dietitians and an emergency center accredited as a Level III trauma center by the State of Texas.
Private rooms include sleeper sofas for family caregivers; visitors can access the Internet in each room to communicate with family and friends or take advantage of lounges on each floor. Visitors that have a laptop with a wireless card can also take advantage of the hospital’s free wireless Internet connection through the MH_GUEST network.
Medical Plaza 3, built in 2005 and located at 9200 Pinecroft Drive, houses our Outpatient Surgery Center, an Outpatient Imaging Center featuring two 3.0 Tesla MRIs (including a large bore model) and PET/CT services, a Breast and Bone Center featuring digital mammography and dedicated breast radiologists that is an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
The new East Tower includes: the addition of eight surgical suites (bringing the campus total to 21 suites); expanded Pre-Op, Recovery and waiting areas; new Central Sterile processing; a cosmetic upgrade to existing surgical suites; expansion of Star Lobby (off Medical Plaza Drive) including Pre-Admit, Radiology and Admission areas. In 2014, the 7th floor will become an inpatient TIRR rehabilitation floor and the 6th floor will become a joint replacement patient care floor.
In an effort to address community health, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is a tobacco-free campus. Tobacco use is not permitted inside or on the grounds outside the hospital or its three surrounding medical plazas.
Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is part of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, a 12-hospital system which includes Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, both are Level 1 Trauma Centers in Houston’s Texas Medical Center.
