Mental Health Crisis Clinics Services

Services provided by the Mental Health Crisis Clinic include, but are not limited to:

    Mental Health caring comfort
  • Multiple psychosocial assessments and medical history assessments
  • Emergency medication administration
  • Short-term prescriptions
  • Connecting patient to a more permanent medical home and outpatient psychiatric treatment
  • Social services
  • Safety planning
  • Brief crisis counseling and brief solution-focused intervention
  • Short term follow-up
  • Connecting patient to resources in the community
  • Providing referrals for resources in the community

The hours at each clinic location will vary, please call ahead for the hours of operation. At this time, the average initial patient visit is approximately two hours; however, the length of the visit depends on the patient’s current situation and social service needs.

A patient may be seen by a Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Mental Health Physician Assistant, or a Psychiatrist. The patient may also be seen by means of tele-medicine. Mental Health treatment is the primary service. Substance abuse is not treated at the clinic, but information on referral resources for chemical dependency treatment can be given.

Narcotics, stimulants, and benzodiazepines are not carried or typically prescribed at these facilities.
