Join other cancer survivors on June 1 for fellowship, educational opportunities and some of the best cupcakes in town during Memorial Hermann’s annual Cancer Survivor’s Day celebration.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with fellow survivors and organizations like CanCare, Heal-a-Meal and the Pink Ribbon Project during the resource fair. They also can attend classes pertinent to survivorship, such as Financial Fiesta, Tai Chi Jubilee, Stretch Party, Scent Soirée, Nutrition Craze and Comfort & Caring, while local bakeries, including Three Brothers Bakery, Ooh La La-Katy, Memorial Bakery, The Westin Houston, and Memorial Hermann Food and Nutrition Services battle it out to create the best “birthday” cupcake recognizing survivors’ life after cancer. State Representative Dwayne Bohac and local celebrities Executive Chef Michael Cordua and Donna Vallone are just a few of the special guests who will judge the “Cupcake War.”
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Call 713.222.CARE (2273) for more information and to register.
