Louis Smith, Memorial Hermann Northeast chief executive officer, and Kay Alexander, senior vice president for the American Heart Association, led the cheers for the more than 800 walkers at the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk on Nov. 15.

Memorial Hermann Northeast was the top fund-raiser at the Greater Lake Houston Heart Walk held on the Lone Star College - Kingwood campus. Northeast employees raised almost $14,000 and Heath Rushing, service line administrator and Northeast team captain, raised the most money - $1,270. A total of 238 employees, family, friends and a few canines participated in the annual Walk to raise funds for the American Heart Association. Memorial Hermann Northeast is the title sponsor for the Greater Lake Houston event.
