Memorial Hermann Healthcare System Announces Dale St. Arnold as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Houston, Texas, April 26, 2006 – Memorial Hermann Healthcare System announced today the appointment of Dale St. Arnold as executive vice president and chief operating officer. St. Arnold will assume the post May 1, 2006. He will have operational oversight for the Memorial Hermann system, including three Texas Medical Center hospitals, 10 suburban hospitals, clinical service lines and all non-hospital operations.

In announcing the addition to his executive team, Memorial Hermann President and CEO Dan Wolterman noted St. Arnold’s breadth and depth of experience. “Dale St. Arnold has more than 20 years experience in health care operations,” he said. “He possesses the personal character and strong credentials required to take our already strong operations to the next level as we continue to expand services across the greater Houston and surrounding areas.”

St. Arnold, 52, comes to Memorial Hermann from Phoenix where he served as president of Abrazo Health Care at Vanguard Health Systems. Prior to Abrazo Health Care, he served as president and CEO of Catholic Health System in Buffalo; president and CEO of Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio; and president of St. Benedict’s Hospital in Ogden, Utah. St. Arnold earned his bachelor’s of science from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in health administration from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Washington University School of Business, St. Louis.
