Mark Sherer, Ph.D. Joins Memorial Hermann|TIRR as Director of Psychology/Neuropsychology
Houston, April 30, 2007 – Clinical Psychologist Mark Sherer, Ph.D., has joined Memorial Hermann|TIRR as director of the Psychology/Neuropsychology department. He also holds a faculty appointment with Baylor College of Medicine. Memorial Hermann|TIRR is internationally known for its specialized medical care, education, and research in the field of catastrophic injury. Dr. Sherer returns to TIRR where he once served as director of TIRR Challenge Program and the Neuropsychology department. Prior to joining Memorial Hermann¦TIRR, he served for more than ten years as director of Director of Neuropsychology at Methodist Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Sherer is nationally known for his research on traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, and brings more than twenty years experience in clinical psychology and neuropsychology.
Dr. Mark Sherer received his doctorate and master’s degrees in clinical psychology from the University of Alabama. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from the University of North Alabama. He is also serves as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine.
