Hermann Names Treviño to Foundation's Top Position

— In
support of its continuing mission to provide high-quality healthcare
services conveniently located where our patients live and work, Memorial
Hermann Healthcare System has selected Ileana Vallarino Treviño
as vice president of the Memorial
Hermann Foundation. Treviño
will begin leading the system’s efforts to raise philanthropic
funds on Aug. 9.
Treviño previously led the University of Houston’s
fundraising efforts as vice chancellor/vice president of university
advancement. In that position, she also directed internal communications,
media relations, public relations, advertising and publications.
Before the U of H position, she held high-ranking posts at the National
Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Agriculture and was
at the helm of a management consulting firm for eight years.
“Throughout our history, philanthropic donations have been vital
to the establishment of exceptional healthcare resources that the greater
Houston community now depends upon, including the area’s only
burn center and Life Flight, the gold standard for emergency air ambulance
service,” said Memorial Hermann Healthcare System CEO, Dan Wolterman. “We
look forward to the energy, experience, and new ideas that Ileana Treviño
will bring to our organization.”
Treviño holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology
from Boston University. She is an active member of several professional
and community organizations, including the Association of Fundraising
Professionals and the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive
Women’s Partnership. She also serves on the Houston Hispanic
Forum’s board of directors and sits on the advisory boards for
the Houston Texans and Merrill Lynch.
