Dr. Wasim Dar graduated medical school from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in the year 2000, after which he started his training in General Surgery. He completed his General Surgery training at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2010 where he also obtained a Ph.D. in Comparative Biomedical Sciences/Immunology.
After completing a Transplant Surgery fellowship at Emory University, Dr. Dar joined the faculty at the University of Texas at Houston Health Sciences Center in 2012 as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Immunology and Organ Transplantation.
Dr. Dar's clinical and academic interests include abdominal transplantation and hepatobiliary and GI surgery in adults and children as well as the pursuit of basic science and clinical research in organ transplant candidates and recipients.
