Physician Biography
Dr. Amelie Lam Chu graduated from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Following medical school, she completed her internship and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
A physician with Sherri S. Levin, M.D. & Associates in Houston, Dr. Chu is affiliated with Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center Hospital. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Harris County Medical Society, and a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Fluent in Vietnamese, Dr. Chu likes to get to know her patients on an individual basis and encourage them to be active participants in their healthcare decisions. Her clinical interests include high-risk pregnancy, contraceptive management, and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Chu lives in Houston with her husband and her hobbies include gardening, recycling and traveling. In 2012, she reached the Kilimanjaro Summit.
