A Phase II, Investigator-Initiated, Feasibility Study to Evaluate the Mechanisms of Coronary Endothelial Dysfunction Imaged as Resting Myocardial Perfusion Heterogeneity After Endothelin Receptor Blockade with Darusentan
Lead Physician: K. Lance Gould, M.D.
This six-week Phase II study is testing the theory that myocardial perfusion as measured by cardiac positron emission tomography (PET) will improve after treatment with the drug Darusentan compared to baseline and post-treatment PET scans in patients with coronary atherosclerosis and or risk factors for heart disease.
