Heart & Vascular Institute – Southwest

With one of the largest cardiology programs in Houston, the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute – Southwest provides heart services that reflect the quality of care, innovation and technology you expect.

More than fifty board-certified cardiologists and five cardiac surgeons practice at the institute, which was recognized by the Texas Medical Foundation Health Quality Institute with the 2005 Award of Excellence for Acute Myocardial Infarction and Heart Failure.

The Heart & Vascular Institute – Southwest is Houston’s first freestanding heart institute. The five-floor, 200,000-square-foot facility on the Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital campus offers 42 private patient rooms, 26 telemetry beds and a 13-bed intensive care unit.

The facility also includes a noninvasive diagnostic center, pharmacy, five catheterization and electrophysiology labs, four high tech operating suites and a high tech hybrid endovascular suite. Other technology at the institute includes advanced cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and cardiac MRI technology.
