Make a difference in someone’s life and be a Hospice volunteer.
Memorial Hermann Hospice is looking for dedicated, compassionate volunteers to support terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice volunteers are special people who give freely of their time and energy and play a vital role in hospice care.
Hospice volunteers perform five primary job functions: Direct patient care, in-direct patient care, bereavement, office/clerical and special events/fund-raising. Vital services they provide may include making friendly visits, medication deliveries, cooking, sewing, light chores around the house and assisting staff with task in the office.
All positions with patient interaction will require mandatory training and a TB screening before you can began volunteering. Bereavement volunteers are required to undergo special training and will work closely with the chaplain. Training will be provided and facilitated by Memorial Hermann Hospice if you are selected to be a volunteer.
We are looking for volunteers in the Woodlands, Spring, Kingwood, Humble, Crosby, Porter and parts of North Houston. Volunteers may serve during daytime or evenings and weekends, seven days a week.
