Partnership with Build-A-Bear Workshop

Memorial Hermann and Build-A-Bear Workshop® have entered an exciting partnership to provide Houston area families with a special keepsake to celebrate the birth of a child. Parents-to-be are offered the opportunity to have a ten-second recording of their baby’s heartbeat placed inside a stuffed animal of their choice at a local Build-A-Bear Workshop® store. The heartbeat may be recorded during a scheduled clinical ultrasound.*

Memorial Hermann is proud to be the only hospital system in the Houston area offering this service. Heartbeat Keepsake Program kits including a Build-A-Sound® recording device, a $15 gift card to Build-A-Bear Workshop®, and a Memorial Hermann t-shirt for the stuffed animal. Kits may be purchased for $30 at the following locations:

*Memorial Hermann ultrasound technologists are not permitted to perform Build-A-Bear sound recordings on pregnancies less than 20 weeks gestation age. Please provide ultrasound technologist with sound recording device before ultrasound is performed.
