Anita Tian, MSN, RN, FNP-C, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Tian began her medical career in 2007 as a registered nurse and, in 2013, became a certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Fluent in Mandarin, Tian treats patients from 2 years to adults and has special interests in disease prevention, health promotion and patient education. Tian treats a wide array of conditions and sees patients for colds, allergies, earaches, chronic diseases such as diabetes, minor injuries, school physicals and well-woman exams.
Passionate and caring, Tian focuses on putting her patients’ care first. “I take an interest in my patients’ concerns and treat them like a person, not a disease. We sit down and discuss a plan to prevent the issue from reoccurring,” said Tian.
Tian sees herself as a health adviser for her patients. “I enjoy helping and working with people not only physically, but emotionally, mentally and spiritually to produce a healthy change in their lifestyle,” said Tian.
Away from her work, Tian enjoys reading, traveling with her family and preparing home-cooked meals.
